Ghislaine Maxwell Says No Epstein Client List Exists — What the New Transcript Reveals
Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein, has pushed back on one of the case’s most persistent rumors: the existence of a secret “Epstein client list.” In a newly released interview transcript, Maxwell told U.S. officials that no such list exists, despite years of speculation that powerful figures were being shielded.
The transcript surfaces as political pressure builds on former President Donald Trump to disclose more about his historic ties to Epstein. Trump has denied wrongdoing and says their relationship ended in 2004.
Pressed about well-known names that often appear in online theories — including Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Kevin Spacey, and Naomi Campbell — Maxwell said she did not witness inappropriate conduct by Trump or Clinton, and called allegations involving Prince Andrew “not conceivable.”
Maxwell also commented on Epstein’s 2019 death, officially ruled a suicide. She said she does not believe he killed himself, while also rejecting claims that he was murdered to protect others, calling such theories “ludicrous.”
For families of victims, Maxwell’s statements change little. They dispute her credibility and argue that renewed attention should focus on accountability rather than rumor. Still, the denial is significant: if there is no “client list,” it raises a bigger question — why has the narrative endured for so long?
Analysts say the answer lies in a combination of secrecy around key documents, the high-profile network that surrounded Epstein, and the internet’s appetite for simplified villains. Until more official records are unsealed, the speculation will likely continue.
